Mission Statement

Mineral Springs Middle School is committed to providing a safe and orderly educational environment in which all students will experience success in intellectual, social, physical, and emotional and moral development. 

To lead us toward our mission, our school community shares the following beliefs:

• All students can learn and will attain academic success when supported by a relevant, challenging, integrated, and exploratory curriculum.  Caring professional teachers use multiple learning and teaching approaches to meet the needs of diverse learners. 
• Student growth and well-being creates the impetus for decision-makng
• It is our responsibility to nurture the whole child through relevant, engaging instruction thus producing life-long learners and future leaders.
• Family and community partnerships are integral in creating a climate that fosters student achievement.

Theme

Mineral Springs Middle School is a magnet school, which means that students from across  Forsyth County may choose to attend our school.  Our magnet theme is Arts and Leadership.  Mineral Springs Middle School was selected by the Kenan Institute for the Arts as one of 25 original A+ schools in North Carolina.  Over the last ten years, Mineral Springs faculty/staff created various ways to integrate the arts across the curriculum.  As a federal magnet program, we are adding the integration of leadership skills and encore classes.  Steven Covey's 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, will be incorporated in both academic and encore classes.  Each student will develop a portfolio as a part of of their weekly theme class.
